I went to a garage sale this morning because in the paper they advertised American Girl stuff. I figured it was worth getting up at 6:00 a.m. on a Saturday. LOL

They didn't have any dolls or clothes so I was a little disappointed, but they had some books. I bought two of Josefina's short stories, Kit's art set, Kirsten's paper dolls, and the big hardback collection of all Molly's stories. I also bought a tin that says "American Girls Collection" and has all their pictures on it.

The woman across from me saw what I was getting and grabbed up the rest of the books before I could. Grrr... I was annoyed, but I guess that's the way it goes at garage sales. Oh well, at least I got a few nice things.

My daughter Rachel went with me because I was mostly buying the stuff for her, although I'm sure we'll both be reading the Molly and Josefina books. I laughed when I opened the books because written on the inside covers was "To Rachel S. from Mom" and it had the date. I laughed because our last name also starts with S. I think my Rachel was destined to have those books.
